Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
When I was growing up, “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” was a popular catch-phrase to encourage kids to live the green life (back before it was a “trend”). Now it can be used as inspiration when raiding your boyfriend’s closet, with a twist of course.
For example, paper bags aren’t just for carrying groceries anymore; they’re now a popular skirt style. All it takes is three simple steps:
1.) Reduce the length of an old pair of your boyfriend’s jeans to the desired skirt length.
2.) Reuse your favorite belt to cinch the waist.
3.) Recycle a simple tank or a colorful blouse to pair with your new skirt.
and voila… you have a casual go-to outfit that’s dressy enough for dinner with the girls…
and comfortable enough to lounge around the house with.
