Sheesh, you heat! Get out of here.
It’s been way too hot, since the heat decided to land right in the Bay Area this weekend-out of nowhere.
And if the heat won’t go away, you know what that means? Ladies, I guess it’s time to make more summer clothing! Yay!
So, while digging in the pile of boy clothes that the bf donated today, I found one decent shirt: a plain black t-shirt
(The rest are all ugly. Gee…thanks. lol jk).
After 40 intimate minutes with this plain black t-shirt. It turned out like this!

“Not too shabby, ehh?”
Ah yes, another version of a Halter top, A Halterneck Tunic.
Originally, I wanted to make a dress with that black t-shirt,
however it turned out way too short since it was only a men’s medium.
So, this one is also a tunic.
Well…uhhh, if you want to wear it as a dress you can, you…hoochie mama you.
P.S. I gave you a color code to help you navigate your way with the pictures.
Color Code:
Cut = red
Sew = sky blue
Fold = green
Here’s what I did.
1. Raid his closet, and steal his t-shirt

2. Turn his t-shirt inside out and keep it that way until further directions. ![]()
Cut off the sleeves. Save them for later.

3. In a straight line, cut off the collar and shoulder part

4. Sew up the sides – created by the sleeve cut-offs.

5. Now you have tube-like cloth with an ugly – raw hem.
So you’re going create your own hem – fold your raw hem towards you.
Sew that up – in and out.
Do it for the front and back.

6. Fold the shirt – so that the side is now your front.
It should look like this – giving you a subtle dimension to your boobies. ![]()

7. Now, let’s make the strap.
Grab both sleeves. Cut the “armpit” end.

8. Unfold them.

9. Lay them flat, side by side.
And sew them together, giving you a longer cloth to work with.

10. Youre going to fold it – to create a straight strap
Cut off the excess.
Sew the strap inside out to make your strap

11. With your sewn inside out strap, you have to invert it.
My first attempt was with my fingers (fail). lol
You can use a ruler or a chopstick.

It should look like this once you invert it.

12. Sew your strap right in the center of your new top.
Make sure you measure how much strap you need,
by wrapping around your neck first. Cut off the excess.

And there you have it!!
Beat the heat with your new halterneck tunic!

Raid & Create!
