Well, not really… but you know what I mean

Like every girl who’s ever read those four black & red novels, I am addicted to the Twilight Saga :) and while everyone’s gearing up for “New Moon” to come out next month, I decided to focus on a small set of characters in the movie. The Volturi. I love that there are a group of vampires in Italy! And of course their attire appropriately compliments our human idea of what a vampire should look like. A simple white top, a collar, a black cape and you can’t forget the splash of Red that flatters their hungry little eyes! I took my inspiration from Caius, Aro’s right hand man who forbids Bella to escape Italy alive!

And while I love his heavy black cloak, I had to settle for a yard of satin black fabric lol. I went more towards the original Vampire/Dracula look but spiced it up with a pair of black suede boots. Thanks to my brother Chesler who donated a skinny pair of grey slacks for this look, and my Bf for the button up he never wears to work. I pulled the look together by adding a red scarf around my neck (to hide my vampire bites! jk) and formed it into an ascot to give it a sophisticated yet evil characteristic. And if I had more time I would have totally paled out my face and sprinkled glitter all over my skin, but since time is not on my side this week, I had to settle for my original skin color :/

And there you have it, a simple yet fun Volturi Vampire costume :) Have a great Halloween guys!

“The Volturi aren’t supposed to be the villains, the way they seem to you. They are the foundation of our peace and civilization.”
