Christmas is coming up & I found one great stocking stuffer for you to give to your friends &/or love ones (…ahem Hardcover, please Mr. Boyfriend
). I was at Valley Fair Mall with the Special Guy, and he spotted this book – I Love Your Style: How to Define & Refine Your Personal Style by Amanda Brooks.
Here’s a brief summary of what’s it’s about: “From talented and inventive designer muse and fashion consultant Amanda Brooks comes I Love Your Style, an elegant and accessible style bible that will empower and inspire women to dive into the everyday challenge of defining—or refining—their personal style. This book is a sumptuous full-color look-book complete with more than 400 classic and modern photographs, and is a must-read for the budding fashionista—or any woman who finds herself frustrated in front of the mirror each morning.”
I loved it!! It caught my attention with the different types of style she listed: Classic, Bohemian, Minimal, High Fashion, Street, Eclectic, Basics, Cheap Chic, Designer, Vintage. And I thought to myself, we all can pull off boy fashion in these different style, but of course it has to be your personal style – portraying who you are as a person. Just a side note: I believe when it comes to pulling off things you make to wear or things that are created for those of another gender – it has to be YOU. When it’s YOU, you’ll then feel CONFIDENT; When you’re CONFIDENT, you’ll LOOK GREAT & FEEL COMFORTABLE.
Here’s my lame equation for what I am trying to communicate:
YOUR PERSONAL STYLE (YOU) = CONFIDENT = COMFORTABLE + LOOK GREAT.

Alright enough of my mumble jumbles… I didn’t get the chance to read it, but I got the chance to skim through the images, each theme was very inspirational. Let’s see if I get my hands on these in my stocking this year (…please Santa Claus) and I will share more with you all later. Hopefully, Amanda Brooks can back me up with my “equation”.
Let’s end with this entry with her awesome quote:
“Finding your personal style is about discovering yourself—about embracing your creativity and the freedom to choose elements from throughout the fashion universe.” -Amanda Brooks
Raid & Create…What’s YOU!
