Denim on denim is not attractive!
It’s ugly even if The Gap is promoting it.
It’s still ugly even if it is featured at the fashion shows.

And I definitely it’s awful if Britney and Justin once wore it — together!
The reason I am announcing this is because it really bothers me. I just came across this comment from Mark (Stupidfresssh) who replied to Agnes’ The Rules of Style from Ol’ Blue Eyes Himself post with this:
“If you’re going to wear denim on denim, make sure that their are contrast between your denims. The color shouldn’t match all the way to a point that it would look like you’re wearing a suit.”
I think it was a great comment since he stated the key word –CONTRAST, however I don’t believe you should ever wear denim on denim. Ever! There’s just not enough contrast even if you’re going to mix a dark wash with a light wash. You still need a contrast in fabric and material, otherwise you will just seem heavy. That is why it is always good to wear jeans with satin/cotton/jersey or anything lighter than denim.
The only time I would approve on denim overload is if you are wearing overalls. Question my taste if you must, but these are absolutely charming.
