Get it!?! KNOT!?! (puahaha)

Ok…ok…nevermind.

A DIY project from yours truly has been long overdue and since the weather’s getting quite nice, I made a simple, yet stylish knotted necklace out of boy tees. Whether it’s plain or “strung out” like mine, it definitely makes a bold statement for all plain and simple outfits!!!

Wanna get started? Here’s what you’ll need:

Any t-shirt will do, but the best kinds of t-shirts for DIY projects are 100% cotton tees because they make a nice effect when they’re pulled, sewn, knotted, destroyed…etcetera, etcetera. They’re also pretty durable in comparison to other types of cloth.

Advice/Suggestions:

This kind of necklace looks GREAT when it’s layered. Make your t-shirt strips different sizes!
Try using different colored/decorated thread and t-shirts for a funky look!
Since the knots take up a lot of the strip, it may help to cut the t-shirt lengthwise.
