It has definitely been a challenge for me to cater the boyfriend fashion trend here on MyBFCloset for the past few weeks. A couple of excuses would be managing work and school together, especially during finals week. But actually the main reason was because it is simply summer. I would say I’m guilty of  wanting to  wear the floral dresses, the short shorts, the silky blouses and those maxi dresses (I’m sure all our Closet Raiders are guilty as well). But after a long time of visual research–eying around, I found the solution to fit the Boyfriend Trend into Summer in the  Nylon‘s July 2010 Issue (The Music Issue).

When I reached page 94 on the article called Fit Loose by Rajni Lucienne Jacques, I was in love with what I found. The solution was very simple.
Just to add contrast to your wear:  Mix and match something femininely summery and something loose fit and masculine. I know I’ve mention adding contrast to outfits before, however I never imagine it looking that great with summery printed blouses.

I think I am going to try this out this week to satisfy both my Boyfriend Fashion and Summer Floral Fashion cravings.

P.S. Speaking of the Music Issue, after you pick that issue up since it’s filled with goodies,  you can check out MBC Playlist_03! Listen away… :)

Raid & Create,
Jessica
